A few months ago, we told you about a potential alliance between Mozilla Firefox and the “Have I Been Pwned” website. It seems that everything is ready since the company has just unveiled Firefox Monitor, a tool dedicated to protecting your personal data.

The “Have I Been Pwned” website was launched in 2013 and offers to check if one of your email addresses is part of a data leak. All you have to do is enter it and alerts are displayed if certain sites have been breached. With Firefox Monitor, the principle remains the same since it is always a website but the service should have a greater reach given the number of s of the browser. Rather than performing manual checks, it is possible to to be alerted as soon as a vulnerability affecting you is detected.
