ASTREAD is an online service that aims to promote reading by allowing you to convert your e-books into audio books free of charge. The system is quite simple and allows anyone to convert an EPUB, PDF, TXT, DOC, DOCX, RTF or ODT document to MP3 audio format without software installation or tedious settings. After you have ed online, send your book, then choose a voice from 9 available. Then click on the – generate – button to request the conversion of your text to audio format! After a few minutes, an email will invite you to the corresponding sound files, which will allow you to place them in your favorite MP3 player so you can listen to them at any time!To convert your digital documents into audio books, ASTREAD uses voice synthesis coupled with a text processing system to optimize the content of your book for the best possible audio experience. This site is developed for free by two Lyon developers who are ionate about code and literature. Their aim is to facilitate access to reading for all those who feel excluded, for reasons of time, knowledge of French, concentration or even disability.
